Esco Distribution proceed with the extension of its factory with Deltabeams in Montmagny Qc, Canada. The height under the floor and the fire resistance were both important factors for the choice of the structure. The beams were manufactured at Acier Fortin located a few blocks from the work site.

The Deltabeams were manufactured in the factory located in the back of this picture.  The manufacture of the beams was well done by Acier Fortin under supervision of Peikko and in respect of the worksite schedule. 

 
Columns and beams were erected by Construction Ginove. The erection was done rapidly and with standard steel erection equipements. 

 
Beam connections are made with two ASTM A325 bolts and with vertical support that facilitate its positionning.

 
Hollowcores positionned by Schokbeton.

 
Before casting the topping, the joints of the slabs and and Deltabeams must be grouted.

 
 On the worksite Deltabeams offer a great opportunity to start working on the next stages of the building because of minimum shoring under the floors.
