Capacity chart wind turbine bolt

Wind turbine bolts are fabricated in the Quebec City factory located in Quebec, Canada. Each bolt is made under the internal inspection program to obtain total quality management. Traction tests, galvanizing tests and impact tests are made in an autorized laboratory reconized by canadian autorities.

High capacity nuts are designed to take 100% of the bolt design load capacity. This nut must be used with hardened washers.

The adjustment nuts play the role of tightening the assembly in erection stage. They give precise positionning before concreting is done. 


On the other side, these nuts cannot be taken as high strength nuts. They don't have the capability of developping the full strength of the bolt. It is important to note that these nuts cannot replace high capacity nuts.
 


Peikko uses heat treated washers to offer a very smooth and hard surface to optimise transmission of the loads between the parts.
