TERA Joint, Peikko's new "leave-in-place" concrete slab formwork system with integral load transfer capability and edge protection introduced to the market earlier this year, is being used extensively in a large distribution warehouse project in Senec, Slovakia.

The project will use approximately 10 kilometres of joint including standard three meter sections of TJ6-160, X-Junctions, T-junctions and new special rounded corner pieces. These special circular sections were developed in response to the common problem of adequately isolating the docking areas and at the same time minimising the possibility of cracking. The round corner pieces, which are unique to Peikko, were specially designed for the project, however Peikko is now able to offer them as a standard solution for many applications.

The manufacturing of the products for the project were done only 40 kilometres away in Peikko's factory in Slovakia, where TERA Joint manufacturing was started in May 2008.

TERA Joint is already being produced in Peikko's factories in Finland, Slovakia and United Kingdom. Since the launch at the beginning of 2008 Peikko Group has supplied TERA Joint to major projects in around 10 countries across Europe and the customer feedback has been very encouraging.
