Peikko Group’s Finnish subsidiary Peikko Finland will deliver its DELTABEAM® frame solution for an office building located in Espoo, Finland. The order comprises 4.8 kilometers of DELTABEAM® Composite Beams and 250 tons of Composite Columns and other steel structures used in the building’s frame. The deliveries for the project are scheduled to start in August 2017 and the project is planned to be finished by the end of 2018.
The building will be the new head office of Ramboll Finland Oy, who is responsible for the structural design of the project developed by KEVA. The main contractor is Hartela Etelä-Suomi Oy, the precast elements are supplied by Parma Oy, and the architectural design is made by C&J Architects. Even though Ramboll Finland Oy has made a long-term leasing agreement, the target was to design a multipurpose building enabling easy modification of the layout to match different space requirements.
“Peikko’s DELTABEAM® Frame provides a fast construction process of the building frame. DELTABEAM® enables long spans making flexible layout changes possible for the end users during the whole lifespan of the building, which was particularly important in this project”, comments Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.
