Peikko supplies concrete connections to the largest building with a precast frame in Finland

Peikko Group’s Finnish subsidiary Peikko Finland Oy has received substantial orders for concrete connections. During the next two years Peikko supplies over 800 tons of different connection products – column shoes, anchor bolts, fastening plates – to two companies engaged in precast element production; Betonimestarit Oy and Lujabetoni Oy, and also connection products directly to the construction site.

The construction project in question is a large logistics center that will be built in Sipoo, close to the Finnish capital Helsinki. The center is owned by SOK, one of the largest companies in retail and service trades in Finland. The precast elements of the project will be supplied by Betonimestarit and Lujabetoni. The construction of the center has already begun. It will be the largest building ever in Finland having a precast frame. The total area comprises 189.000 m2. The constructor is TYL Freeway, a joint venture of Lemminkäinen Talo Oy and Skanska Talonrakennus Oy.

”Peikko has been supplying concrete connections for a long time to both Lujabetoni and Betonimestarit. We are very glad that we were chosen as connection supplier to this remarkable project being the largest precast framed construction in Finland. In this case Peikko’s delivery ability and accuracy played an important role, as those were also particularly emphasized when SOK chose the precast element suppliers to the project.” states Esa Rusila, Managing Director of Peikko Finland Oy.
